Yin and Yang Yoga Workshop with Heather Tiddens
SAVE THE DATE
When: May 16-18th at COIL Yoga
Friday May 16th, 6:45-8:45 pm Introduction: Integrating Yin & Yang Yoga, $40
Saturday May 17th, 10:00-12:30 pm Hips, $45
Saturday May 17th, 2:00-4:30 pm Core, $45
Sunday May 18th, 10:00-1:00 pm Backbends, $55
Join Heather in weaving the healing powers of these two very different styles of yoga into an integrated, balanced practice. In each practice over the weekend we begin with Yin Yoga, a quiet practice that encourages the body/mind to open as each pose is held passively for several minutes. Yin Yoga targets the deep, dense connective tissues; the ligaments and fascia, releasing resistance while activating the flow of prana through the core of the body.
Transitioning into the Yang practice of deep breathing, heat, and intense pose sequences in the Forrest Yoga style, will deepen your edges of self-discovery while cultivating strength, flexibility and energy flow. Yoking these mutually supportive yoga styles creates an opportunity for healing the stresses, trauma, and their underlying conditioning, that block our potential and limit our lives. Come experience the freedom of being fully at home in your body: energized, open, powerful and graceful.
This workshop is open to ALL LEVELS of practice. Each session will consist of about 1 hour of Yin Yoga, 1 hour 45 minutes of Yang Yoga with a long Savasana (relaxation) at the end of class.
Early Bird Special
Reserve your spot for all four classes with Heather by May 10th for $165.00.
Payments made at the door will be an additional $5.00 per class on the day of the workshop.

WAKE UP YOUR SPIRIT THROUGH MUSIC AND SINGING!Savor the spicy grooves and dreamy melodies of New Orleans' Sean Johnson and The Wild Lotus Band who put a funky, mystic twist on kirtan, the mantric music of India. Sean and the band have been receiving international attention for their delightful chant music that subtly merges the spirit of India with the soul of the New Orleans. The band tours worldwide seeking to inspire freedom through the blissful power of music and chant. They have received glowing reviews of their latest album Calling The Spirits which is quickly becoming a favorite at yoga studios everywhere. “Calling The Spirits” is destined to become one of the most well regarded recordings in the world of chant music” says Bette Timm of Aura Magazine. Grammy nominated world music pioneer Jai Uttal says, “Sean’s voice is a warm, soothing river of serenity.”
The band includes the ecstatic vocals of Sean who also plays harmonium—the Indian pump driven organ; the spirited percussion of Gwendolyn Colman on frame drums, cajon, high hat, and other percussion instruments; and longtime New Orleans groove master Alvin Young on fretless bass. In a recent review, Yoga Journal praised the band, “A joy to listen to whether you’re a yogi, a jazz connoisseur, or anyone who appreciates wildly creative music.”
This evening’s candlelight concert will consist of call and response chanting and mantra based songs that soothe your soul in one moment and drive you into wild celebration in the next. Sean will also share inspiring stories and insights about the healing power of mantra and music. Traditionally at the end of the concert the band invites everyone to lay down as they offer a calming lullaby to send participants home into dreamy relaxation.

Dress to Project Your Authentic SELF With Marie P. DiBona
When: Saturday April 26th, 2:00-4:00 pm
Cost: Cost: $40.00
Do you look at your closet full of clothes and still find nothing to wear? Do you see clothing items and styles that you want to try, but still keep dressing in the same old way? Would you like to evolve your outward style to be a more positive reflection of your inner self?
Join Marie P. DiBona, wardrobe consultant and yoga teacher, as you uncover your authentic style to make shopping and getting dressed an easy, fun reflection of your inner self. With Spring on its way, now is the time to RENEW and REFINE your wardrobe, and set an intention for feeling good in your body and in your clothes. In this 2 hour workshop we will first explore the foundations of yoga and uncovering your connection to your inner self, the importance of breath, and focus on the practice of yoga as a way to become more aware of your body and come to acknowledge and trust yourself from within.
When we are able to feel comfortable and trust ourselves within our bodies, this confidence can be translated to the world around us through our individual style. This internal grounded confidence is expressed through the way in which we present ourselves each day through our actions, speech, and YES, our attire. When you feel good about yourself, others around you will notice and you yourself will feel more confident, grounded and ready to embrace each day. Transformation is based on your outlook, not your pocketbook, so you can achieve a new approach by looking at your existing wardrobe in new ways to create a style that is a comfortable, confident reflection of you.
