Gliding over endless gardens of starfish in the crystal clear water reveals the true splendor of the bay's robust marine life, including curious and friendly sea lions keeping a close eye on their visitors. Hiking on the ridge of Tomales Point reveals spectacular vistas of the rugged Pacific coastline. Herds of wild Elk are even seen roaming the cliffs.

Take your Yoga practice to a new level as you consciously explore yourself in this natural environment on a pristine beach, surrounded by the beauty of mother earth. Listen to the sound of water rippling against the shore, and the sound of your own breath, keeping you connected to your mind, body and spirit. Feel the cool breeze off the water against your skin as you move in and out of each pose. See the stars coming out and night, and the sun rising and falling over the cliffs in our evening and morning practices.

The trip begins at Nick’s cove, a gateway to some of the finest paddling in the Bay area. Tomales Bay stretches 14 miles up into the Pacific and is the longest, most uninhabited stretch of protected salt water on this coast. From its’ bluffs and beaches rise deserted windswept hills, quilted golden green with coastal scrub and grassy meadows, laced with wildflowers. Our beach side camp site allows access to the ridge trail running the length of Tomales Point and provides excellent hiking with expansive vistas of Bodega bay, the Pacific and Point Reyes.

Yoga is a tool for meeting resistance in our bodies and thoughts in a productive way. How one approaches this practice determines the quality yoga brings to our lives.

During this program, experience how the subtle external force of Gravity educates our bodies, influencing our practice through the power of surrender as we meet resistance in the physical structure. This process strengthens our intuition as we trust our feeling “minds” (heart, navel), opening us to experience the subtle internal force of Grace, which appears as we secure a relationship to and overcome resistance in the physiological body, which in turn helps develops our "inner teacher".

The Friday evening class will be an informal discussion about developing a relationship with the resistance we encounter in our lives, both on and off the mat. The classes on Saturday and Sunday are designed for all levels, including those new to the sequences of Peter’s work, and will finish with seated meditations on both days.

July 18th Friday- 7:00-9:00 pm- Food for Body and Soul…
Potluck at Katie’s home and Discussion with Peter
Join us on a special summer evening for a pot luck dinner and intimate discussion with Peter Sterios on
His unique approach and philosophy about Yoga’s place and function in our lives. This is a great opportunity to
Learn, ask questions and share in the knowledge that Peter has to offer.

July 19th Saturday 1:00-4:00 pm- Dynamic practice - Integrating Opening Sequences and Inversions.
During this class, we will work with a three part practice which opens the major joints of the body (to overcome stiffness and address any pre-existing conditions or injuries), strengthens the heating mechanism of the body (improving circulation and elimination); and cools the nervous system (which settles the mind and prepares one for meditation)

July 20th Sunday 10:00- 1:00 am- Restorative Practice and Seated Meditation.
For this class, we will begin where Saturday class left off, using restorative poses to reconnect with the openness created during Saturday’s class with an emphasis on seated postures. This will give us a more effortless experience of sitting for meditation, and deepen our mental concentration and emotional balance.

When we practice yoga, we can literally feel our awareness of who we are expanding. When we write, we can literally see and track that expansion.

Yoga teaches us to quiet our mind and to pay attention to what our body is telling us we need. With each practice, we can learn to create balance, courage, and grace on the mat that we can take with us into our daily lives.

Free-flow writing is a style that allows us to creatively document our progression into self-awreness, discover our abundant power to create our lives, and to move though areas of resistance. Learn to embrace the process of discovery through free-flow writing exercises, guided journaling exercises, and how to transform life "snapshots" in to larger or more unified writing.

When you write from your spirit, your whole being is involved.

Previous writing experience is not necessary. All we ask is that you bring a willingness to explore a more open, conscious, integrated life that nurtures mind, body, and spirit.

Dress to Project Your Authentic SELF With Marie P. DiBona
Date: Wednesday August 13th

Time: 7:15-9:15 pm
Location: Meet at COIL Yoga
Cost: $40.00 per person

Do you look at your closet full of clothes and still find nothing to wear? Do you see clothing items and styles that you want to try, but still keep dressing in the same old way? Would you like to evolve your outward style to be a more positive reflection of your inner self?

Join Marie P. DiBona, wardrobe consultant and yoga teacher, as you uncover your authentic style to make shopping and getting dressed an easy, fun reflection of your inner self. With Spring on its way, now is the time to RENEW and REFINE your wardrobe, and set an intention for feeling good in your body and in your clothes. In this 2 hour workshop we will first explore the foundations of yoga and uncovering your connection to your inner self, the importance of breath, and focus on the practice of yoga as a way to become more aware of your body and come to acknowledge and trust yourself from within.

When we are able to feel comfortable and trust ourselves within our bodies, this confidence can be translated to the world around us through our individual style. This internal grounded confidence is expressed through the way in which we present ourselves each day through our actions, speech, and YES, our attire. When you feel good about yourself, others around you will notice and you yourself will feel more confident, grounded and ready to embrace each day. Transformation is based on your outlook, not your pocketbook, so you can achieve a new approach by looking at your existing wardrobe in new ways to create a style that is a comfortable, confident reflection of you.
